# Trouble signing in or joining

> Find the right account, invitation, or recovery step.

    Use **Forgot password?** on Sign in and follow [password recovery](/account/password). Check spam or junk folders for the recovery email.

  <Accordion title="I can't find my invitation">
    Ask the parent who invited you to share the invitation link. Sign in or sign up using the email address they invited. See [Join a household](/family/join).

  <Accordion title="The invitation shows the wrong household or role">
    Check with the inviting parent before accepting. Do not create a second household to work around an invitation problem.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="My email is already used by another family">
    Check whether you already have an account and household. Ask the parent to verify the invited address rather than repeatedly creating accounts.

  <Accordion title="My new email doesn't work yet">
    Confirm the change in both inboxes and check **Current email** on Account. See [Change your email](/account/email).

  <Accordion title="I signed in but can't open the calendar">
    Check whether household setup and subscription activation are complete. See [Subscription and access questions](/help/subscription).
